Olive growing on Lake Garda is an historical tradition. For centuries olive trees have graced the shores of the Lake. Ancient stones bear witness to the presence of oil mills where oil was obtained by pressing the olives on marble slabs.
The hill where our olive groves are located, was once home to an ancient 14th-century Franciscan monastery. Even then, the monks carried on the tradition of olive cultivation. The oil produced was used as a condiment, but also as fuel for lamps.
The production of San Rocco Oleum is located on the Brescian shore of Lake Garda, in the hills of Valtenesi, an area perfectly suited for the cultivation of olive trees and vineyards. Excellent exposure to sunlight, combined with a mild and gentle climate year-round, allows for the production of an oil that is sweet and characterized by a pleasant fruitiness
